Swift was interested in music since a young age. She swiftly rose through the ranks, starting by playing roles in the theater for children and eventually performing in front of an audience of thousands. When she was 11 years old, she sang The Star-Spangled Banner before a Philadelphia 76ers basketball match and next year, she picked up the guitar and started writing songs. Swift was inspired by artists who played country music, like Shania Twain, the Dixie Chicks and, more recently, the Chicks to create original material that expressed the apathy she felt at the age of 13. Swift was only 13 when her parents decided to dispose of their Pennsylvania farm and move to Hendersonville Tennessee. She could dedicate all her time to reaching out to the country music labels that were based in Nashville.
