Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn has been an actress for over 20 years. Anna Gunn is a US actress. She also played Martha Bullock in Deadwood and Jean Ward on The Practice. She was born in Sante Fe, New Mexico in 1968 Anna Gunn fell in love with the art of acting at the Preparatory School she attended before her family relocated to Ohio in the late 1970's. She studied theatre at Northwestern University, and spent one semester at British American Drama Academy. Anna began her professional career with Chicago-area theaters for a short time. Then she moved to film and television. In 1992 Anna got her first major role as Arden in 29 episodes of Down the Shore. Anna continued to be guest stars on a handful of TV shows and films including Seinfeld and NYPD Blue through the mid 90's when she appeared in a role that she reprised as Jean Ward in The Practice. The role was played by Martha Bullock in Deadwood for two seasons throughout the decade of 2000. Skyler was the character she played in her Breaking Bad role from 2008. In addition, she was a part of the Deadwood film as well as Sully. Gunn also took to the stage to play in the David Schwimmer-directed production of Sex With Strangers. In 2022, Gunn participated in an audio-play podcast called "Numbered Days". The love story between Walter White and his wife Skyler is usually the main focus of the plot of Breaking Bad with the strained tension in their relationship, and its eventual demise arguably similar to the arc that was Walter White's final days of his life.
